Hercules has been running twice a week since early this year. It’s a nice series but doesn’t reach the level of older Disney series like Darkwing Duck and Ducktales. Hercules is mostly slapstick humor as Hades tries again and again to take over the Olympus but always fails mostly thanks to Herc’s strength, not his brains. Well finally Hercules and the Arabian Night were aired today. The original Dutch voice cast returned to voice our heroes from the Middle East. Aladdin = Bart Bosch, Jafar = Just Meijer, Jasmine = Laura Vlasblom.

Hades: Okay, what did he look like?
Panic: Tall, dark, um… well dressed…
Pain: And his beard was so…uh….
Hades: Twisted?

Priceless isn’t it? Other favorite moments are Jafar’s trademark maniacal laugh and the scenes where Aladdin first outsmarts Pain and Panic with the rest of the team. Aladdin: Appearances can be deceiving.

Phil: Hey, let me go! I- [Jasmine pushes off him and he sees her clearly.] I’d like to introduce myself. [Jasmine stands up, and so does he.] Philotetes, trainer of-
Jasmine: I’m married. [She holds up her wedding ring hand to herself.]
And…
Hercules: Ah, when I get my hands on you… [Hercules rubs his head and then glares at Aladdin.]
Aladdin: Hehe, IF you get your hands on me, Jerkules. [He winks at him.]
