Tad Stones, best known for producing Disney series as Darkwing Duck and Aladdin is co-directing the first Hellboy animated film. The character are based on the popular comic by Mike Mignola. The movie appears to be traditional animated a good thing in an industry that drops 2D in favor of the cool 3D ‘cash cow’ CG animation. The title character is voiced by veteran voice actor Ron Perlman who also played the character in the 2004 live-action film. Aladdin fans remember Ron as the voice of Arbutus, the plant creature from the episode “Garden of Evil” . Check the official website for an animated intro and goodies.
