Why it’s my favorite?
With Aladdin gone, the lamp in his possession and Jasmine as his personal slave the most powerful sorcerer in the world enjoys his new gained powers.
Why it’s my favorite?
This is one of my most favorites, Jafars tone to Jasmine, the close-up of her eyes as he says he wants her to be his wife. Then Jas throwing the wine in his face sets her in depend character again. She’s not going to marry HIM ever. A little later we get to see why Jasmine and Aladdin make a great team. While she distracts him with the most gruesome kiss he goes after the lamp.
Why it’s my favorite?
Aladdin’s losing without his genie to help him. That reminds me of a post I wrote earlier. I didn’t think to include this example but even in the first movie Aladdin is able to defeat the badguy without the genies help. Alas at this point he has yet to think of it.
Why it’s my favorite?
Amazing colors and animation in the movie when Jafar transforms into a genie. While he’s distracted Aladdin rescues Jasmine in the final seconds of her life. When I first saw the movie I also wondered “what has a he done?” Now Jafar is stronger and impossible to defeat. When the lamp appeared a few seconds later I was like ohh how clever.
Why it’s my favorite?
This moment takes a very different route. In the movie all Jafars magic is reversed automatically yet in the comic we see Genie placing the palace back by hand. Later on the series Genie will be toying with the palace many times.
Why it’s my favorite?
I can watch this sequence with Aladdin and Jasmine center screen over and over again and never get tired. It’s sad, she forgives him and admits her love for him. But the two lovers are about to depart then that close-up. Meanwhile Genie sees true love playing before his eyes and is willing to give up his freedom for them. I’ve often wondered what would’ve happened with Al and Jas if the Sultan wouldn’t have changed the law. I imaged Jasmine waving as Aladdin walks out of the palace. They might meet in secret at the market place or they never would see each other again. I can picture as split shot of Jasmine gazing to the city at night while Aladdin does the same from his hovel. More or less like they did in Party in Agrabah from KoT.
Why it’s my favorite?
She never called him Al did she? Only Genie does and I recall Iago calling him once or twice as well.
