Disney X-Stitched

Over the last five years my mom and her friend Annie worked on and off on these four cross-stitch patterns. Roughly 5 years ago my mom and I found some Disney cross-stitch patterns on Ebay. I being a Disney freak and she a devoted cross stitch-ter it was obvious she bought the materials and started on Hook with the intention to make a Disney pattern between normal cross stitch projects.

At some point after Hook she lost interest and the patterns lay stored away in a box for years. Meanwhile her friend Annie was still into the whole cross-stitch thing she agreed to finish the others if we paid for the cloth and dread. And so it happened that over a year ago I received Belle in the mail. Annie lives down south and doesn’t come over that regularly as she used to when she and her family lived here in Amsterdam. So I got only updated on the progress when she talked with my mom over the phone once in a while. Well slightly disappointed with the weird looking faces I put it away with the intention to do something with it in the future.

Months past by then Annie called, she was finishing up the last one and would send them my way soon. Three weeks ago I got them and while again disappointed on the bad faces I was still thrilled and glad that this to-do item is done, but not after getting them framed and up the wall.

Fast forward to today after picking them up earlier this week my dad and I hang them up today. Since my room is already pretty full with all the puzzles and posters so next was the hallway where next to some old photos there was enough space for the frames. Now by snapping a few photos and writing this post I can strike through one thing on my to-do list.
