Adventures of Prince_Ali in Disneyworld

Adventures of Prince_Ali in Disneyworld

Tying directly in my last post where I wrote about Return of Jafar is princeali_m_fan’s latest adventure in Disneyworld. She hangs around at the Morocco pavilion in Epcot all the time, the to be when you’re looking for Aladdin and Jasmine at the park.

On her last visit she saw the cutest and most adorable sight an Al fanatic can witness. Two totally in character park performers, I know they’re not called that but can’t produce the right name, acting out a scene from “Forget About Love” It’s the cute scene in where animated Jasmine dances around the fountain then falls in Aladdin’s arms who lifts her.
Forget About Love the animated version in Return of Jafar
I would’ve loved to be there and see that or at least see pictures but she was so shocked she forgot, bummer! You got to read the whole meeting in her worlds on Seamless Organization
Then either bookmark it or get the feed.

Return of Jafar King of Thieves Dutch Soundtrack

You can argue what you want about the quality of Aladdin’s sequels compared to the feature film but fact is I love the Aladdin & Jasmine duets in the follow ups. True that most songs in the Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves are somewhat forgettable but that makes the duets stand up above the crowd. Not only in English but in my native Dutch language as well.

For example I was listening to the Dutch sequel mp3’s the other day and really wanted to wake up with Jasmine’s opening lines in Niet Zo Maar Iemand (Out of Thin Air). It’s a great song beautifully song by Laura Vlasblom (Jas) and Bart Bosch (Al). But Disney never released Aladdin’s sequels soundtrack here. Even the English was and is impossible to come by without either a credit card or expensive shipping. So what can a poor fan do? Simple make your own of course.

I did it over the weekend, ripped the songs, clipped them, saved in WAV and burned them to CD. That was the easy part, designing the cover was a whole different ballgame.

Jasmine Coloring Page Two from Color Paradise book

Jasmine Coloring Page Two from Color Paradise book

This is the second page of coloring pages showcasing the lovely princess of Agrabah. With her pet tiger Rajah. With a lowercase “h” people!

As with all coloring pages at Streetrat these are high quality pictures To print them click the thumbnail then use the brower’s printer function to print it. Normally that means clicking right and selecting “print picture”. You see, the bigger the picture is the better quality you get when fit to page is selected. That’s why old coloring pages from the Aladdin Activity Center look so bad blown up. They’re to small.

CalArts Producer Show Openings with Glen Keane

CalArts Producer Show Openings with Glen Keane

Via a blog that I can’t find the URL of at the moment I came across two openings of the CalArts Producer’s Show. This is held annually to showcase animation projects by students which on turn are preceded by an opening like these two.

Only the openings of 2003 and 2007 have been YouTube’d and both feature a guest appearance of Glen Keane trying to animate Ariel in CG and Motion Capture. Quite funny vids watch Glen with a tale and bad wig in the 2007 video.
