Jasmine contraversy?

I just wrote a long reply to a thread at IMDB’s Aladdin messageboard to the following post:

I don’t know if anyone has seen this, but I was watching a behind the scenes aladdin documentary thing, I don’t remember the exact name of the show, but whatever.
They had this part where they read letters from people with questions about aladdin. One of the letters asked why jasmine the princess got had so little popularity and had so little screentime like in the princess movies and cds and the other older princesses were more popular.

The letter went on to say how rumors had been heard about jasmine being immodest and more sexy and had sex-appeal unlike the other princesses and that parents complained about her being a bad role-model to girls and how they should let other more modest and classicly sweet and kind princesses take away jasmines spotlight. The disney people said that it wasn’t entirely true, that although aladdin the movie was extremely popular as were the characters, including jasmine, that she just wasn’t the most appealing of all the princesses and that the others had more values and more stories that could be told about them.

My question is do you beleive that crap?
I mean okay each princess has the same values, okay, they are looking for love and find a prince and fall in love and live happily ever after. Jasmine is a great character, i mean she has more character than that mousy snow white! I have noticed her gettting less and less attention in the disney everything lately, even mulan, who technically isn’t a real princess, gets more attention at times. Whoever thinks that jasmine belongs in the playboy magazines is a true idiot. Jasmines culture is to wear those types of clothes, and it is a good thing for kids to learn about other cultures, and disney did a pretty good job in their movies portraying what it is like in a way that kids can understand.

Lets get jasmine her spotlight back!!!
