I was toying around with a couple of coloring pages scans to see if they could be used other then just coloring. One such other use is as a template for painting a character outline on a wall or door but I’ve to iron out the rough edges first. Another fun activity is use them for a mobile. You know the kind you can color, cut out and hang on a clothes hanger or two small wooden sticks laid out like a cross and hold together with a nail or screw.
I made 4 images, Jasmine, Rajah, Sultan and the Palace and am working on Aladdin, Abu, Genie and Jafar for a second mobile can be crafted or use all 8 images to make one large mobile.
Existing mobile patterns from Disney.com served as inspiration, they appear to be taken off in the sites last make-over.
I looked up the exact instructions how to create a mobile. Clear instructions at a page on childrensday.org service as a good a step-by-step guide. You’ll need to glue the wire to the back of the character instead of folding it between the two halves simply because there’s just one picture.
Click on one of the images to download a ZIP file containing all 4 large images. Remember to set “Stretch To Fit Page” in your printer settings for best result.
