While looking for the full version of the lost One Hundred and One Dalmatians song by the Sherman brothers, I own in Dutch on CD, brought me to BrooklynMouse’s YouTube Channel. His videos are recordings of the old LP sound played through modern PC speakers and hooked up to an Apple Mac Mini.
He shares the contents of these old “Disneyland Record” vinyl records like 101 Dalmatians, Fantasia and the classic short cartoons Disney made back in those days.
I stunned to see he has “That’s How You Know” from Enchanted on his 1964 cassette player, how did he do that? It seems he transferred the CD to his computer then recorded it on a cassette and put it in his player. He did the same for “Part of Your World, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin’s A Whole New World. And it doesn’t sound bad either but that could be tribute to the modern PC speakers.
In August 2006 I was amazed to see that a vinyl version of the Aladdin soundtrack exists. Today I’m amazed that it is still for sale and the price is very low for such rare merchandise.
