Continuing on my earlier post, the one with the Alan Menken Medley. The guy is honored and people love his Disney songs but it seems they forget he’s a score composer in the first place; the songs are merely part of the movie’s score. And with dialogue and sound effects scores are pushed to the background. That way we miss some beautiful music, sure there’s the CD but often they’re incomplete.
Today it’s possible to extract the soundtrack from the DVD without the need for a complete sound studio, just a computer and the right software and you’re set. And so it happens that Canadian blogger black90adar pulled Alan Menken’s superb Aladdin score and uploaded to the Net.
