The young dutch musical production company FanWork had it’s fall 2009 production premiere. A cast of young students ages between 6 and 21 play a in-house adaption of Pocahontas. Last year FanWork did their own redition of Aladdin but borrowing elements from the famous Disney film. According to a Musicalworld.nl review the story of a boy dreaming of wealth, a trapped princess, a powerhungry vizir and a silly sultan are inspired by the Disney animated film. In this version Abu is replaced by a mute boy Sami and Jafar’s henceman is not a parrot by a female named Kadeem

One of the good things, besides the musical, Shrek brought was making this Dan Glover song popular. Works perfectly with any romantic Disney couple so Al and Jas are no exception.

Mike908 uploaded clips from the House of Mouse TV show that aired early 2000′s. It features the Aladdin cast but mostly Jafar and Iago. It’s kinda fun even though the show had much more potential plus the characters look off-model.

I came across a bunch of never before snaps from the 2004 premiere party of the DVD release at El Capitan. We see the famous faces of director Ron Clements, animator Adreas Deja and everyone of the voice cast except Brad Kane, Robin Williams and Jonathan Freeman.

I don’t check YouTube for new Aladdin videos anymore. It’s all crap anyway, fandubs galore re-uploads from the movies and other stuff that’s not worth watching. And since the communities seem on a long vacation and I myself don’t have any fresh merchandise comming in I deciced to revisit my favorite list of to-blog YT vids.
