Deviant Artist treznorspants gave the lovely Disney princesses a Halloween-ish twirl. Credits to abi(gail) at LJ d-Princess for fishing it up.
From my long favorite IE list. Submitted to DeviantArt 4 years ago. Drawn by AladdinsFan colored by zimeta08. Amazing job! Mr. Wizard had seldom looked better.
I haven’t been to DeviantArt in a while so it about time I did look around for artwork worth highlighting.
First off a drawing of the robot dragon from the TV series episode “Dune Quixote”. Sadira placed a spell on Aladdin making him think he’s a knight who most rescue his princess, Sadira of course. Things go bad when Genie tried to undo the girl’s magic. In the second half of the episode big blue made this robot dragon with remote appear to be slayed by Aladdin. Genie brakes the remote and the thing goes heywire. Eventually things turn out right when dragon is blown up and Al returns to his normal self.
DKurt drew a few classic Jafar expressions, annoyed, evil grin, bored and shocked.
JaviDLuffy did a real sexy version of Princess Jasmine as a genie using vectors. Good coloring as well .
Wondering if there were any cosplayers made a nice Princess Jasmine costume I googled around but about anything that came where or already blogged or not worthy, IMO, and most blogged results linked back here to Streetrat. That might explain all the questions I’ve been getting by people wanting to know how I made certain elements from costumes instead of bothering to read further and follow the link to the source.
The girl on the right made a Disney Princess Jasmine costume it looks allot like Jasmine’s Disney Princess outfit 22. It’s very creative to think of a costume other then the movie outfit teal standard. I love the fabric, pattern and colors a shame from the skin colored thing that holds the top up. Maybe she redid it this year I’ll keep an eye open to see if she was photographed anywhere else.
Anyway there’s more in life then pretty princesses. We have our title hero but are honest there’s so much that can be done with his regular clothing. I believe the guy below shows how a nice Aladdin costume could look like. I like the patch and belt to bad about the sandals but I guess you can’t expect people to walk bare feet outside. Enter the great Jafar. A cosplayer did what it appears to be Jafar in his red attire from Return of Jafar with his lady who might be Jasmine in her scrooge of the desert outfit from the TV series episode Forget Me Lots where she joined the side of evil while having amnesia. Otherwise the costume slightly resembles black Jas doll attire that came out in ’99 or 2000 I believe. Or some other random anime-like character that matches nicely with the Disney costume I don’t know.
Note: To be clear, I am not the designer of any of these costumes nor can I get you in contact with the artist who made them. I also have no way to get in contact with the cosplayers on the photos. Please click the photos to go the appropriate pages.
LJ’r Christina shared 50 Disney Princess bases for icons c.q avatars. The Jasmine ones are famliar to me. In 2007 I made a wallpaper from the center poster from the Disney Princess Magazine June issue.
Tiana and Giselle are in the batch.
My Aladdin themed room got allot more Aladdin-ish yesterday when I hung up two 160 cm high frames each containing 8 lithos/posters A4/letter size. They reprisent 15 random moments from the film and 1 poster. Like I wrote a few weeks go I want to make a couple of nice wallpapers to add to Streetrat’s wallpaper gallery

Super genie Jafar’s You’re Only Second Rate reached the eight spot in Nails105′s personal top 10 Animated Villian Songs over at RetroJunk. It stands proudly along the likes of Be Prepard, Gaston and Poor Unfortunate Souls. Have you seen Transformers: The Movie? Talk about a good villian Unicon is a planet-size robot that feeds on other planets. The Unicron score is so good. Watch it!
I’m suprised, Return of Jafar isn’t exactly Disney’s best sequel it compared to Aladdin it’s a shallow shell of course but set it besides Bambi 2 or Tarzan 2 RoJ lacks animaton quality and the story could’ve been better too. As for the songs they’re all forgettable except the love duet Forget About Me which quite nice.
TheHoodedMenace made a nice Aladdin Music Video in where it’s suggested Aladdin was unfaithful to Jasmine during the series. Set under a song with the same name by Stephanie McIntosh.
Not directly Aladdin related but Animation Backgrounds blogged a set of digitally recreated backgrounds from the 1995 Disney feature film Pocahontas. As you’ll probably know a decent part of the Aladdin crew where also onboard Pocahontas at the time.
A futuristic looking commercial for Aladdin toys at McDonalds happy meals around 2004.
Promoting the Disneyland musical Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular
Mattel Aladdin and Jasmine dolls commercial around 1992. I have Genie sitting on a shelf for quite a few years now.
Kellogs Fruit Loops came with Aladdin coloring changing spoons in the mid 90′s. Check out the animation at the end looks like original to me.
More crunchy nugget free stuff came in a box of Captain Crunch because buried beneath was an Aladdin Fortune Top featuring Genie.
Burger King had Aladdin coloring chancing cups with the meals. Kids should come back often to collect all four. The tough rap guy is kind of lame now but back then it was cool.
The Kellogg’s Corn Flakes is probably the best known breakfast product. Like the others it had an Aladdin tie-in. They had a nice looking box and original animation in the TV commercial.
In his later years Joe Grant contributed to some of the hit 90′s Disney films like Aladdin. This after leaving Disney Studios in 1949
Animators at Work gives us a glimpse back in time as we see many big names in the animation industry doing what they do best: draw. Besides Joe Animators at Work has photos of some major Aladdin players to name a few Mark Henn, Nik Ranieri, Andreas Deja, Eric Goldberg, Will Finn and Kathy Zielenski.
