Strolling off Ebay I came across this rare Aladdin spinoff radio play in German. It’s callled JAGOS RÜCKKEHR and seems to be starring Iago. Although I’m not able to translate the title my gut tells me it’s like Return of Jafar, Iago switches sides from evil henchman to good sidekick.
It’s released on a music casssete or MC which was what MP3 is today a way to have portable music back in the 80′s. The walkman is like the Ipod of the 80′s.

actually i have this book in English. it’s called iago’s return and it happens right after iago is welcomed to stay in the palace after the movie. jasmine, aladdin, and iago leave the palace to go on a trip when iago brings out Queen scheherazades neclace which tranports them everytime a gem is pressed. at one point it breaks and abu is trasmpoted to there loacation as he is holding the missin diamond. after that they end up at a place that turns you to stone if you anser their insults, only jasmine makes it to a special fountain that restores the necklace and everyone else to their former selves. they return to the palace ending the adventure
