DjinniGurl started a contest to fandub the entire movie. I prefer the orginal English and Dutch voices but it’s an facinating concept to keep an eye on.
Therre seems to be a new Jasmine out. It features the princess and her pet tiger at the peacock fountain. The peacock is in the globe. Check disneysnowglobescollectorsguide.blogspot.com for an overview of many Aladdin snowglobs made over the years.
Tipped by Jafaria from Aladdin Central Messageboard I enjoyed watching an Aladdin Music Video or AMV titled Love Potion Nr. 9. The more because there aren’t that many made these days.
I saw Sleeping Beauty on Disney Channel the other day, about that only decent thing on but that’s a different story, so I checked around Deviant Art for SB fan-art and found a beautiful drawing of Jasmine in Aurora’s dress. I
Over at Eurobricks, a Lego forum I’ll lurke. Member The Penguin made Lego minifig versions of Aladdin and Jafar. The figs are custom made. Some people make their own Lego pieces by clay or other methots in this case Aladdin’s hair, fez and sword are homemade. The Jafar minifig has cape, shoulderpads and snakestaff specially made. Their faces and printing on torso and legs are selfmade decals. So the only Lego Company parts are Aladdin’s legs, torso and head and Jafar’s legs, which is a slope normally used in roofs, torso and head.

DA user Opal-I did an amazing job in coloring a drawing of Jasmine and Rajah listing to Aladdin pouceing about how wonderful Princess Jasmine is by lordsnoopy. It’s excellent capturing the spirit of the scene well I mean I love the look she gives her pet tiger.
Opal’s focus is mainly on coloring other people’s drawings which is something this artist is pretty good at. Her other (Aladdin) work is certainly worth mentioning.

LordSnoopy’s gallery has nice drawings of again Jasmine but also Rajah and Jafar.
For a couple of years Animated News was the source for Disney news and a good source for Aladdin related new items often crew related. Last year the updates became infrequent and I stopped coming there. It since then got an overhaul and focused on editorial content in the form of reviews and interviews. Their lasted talk is with Disney veteran Mark Henn, the “girl guy” who animated many Disney ladies in the last 20 years including Jasmine and Tiana for those who don’t know him. In part 2 he talks about animating Belle, Jas, Young Simba down in the satellite studio in Florida while most of the animators reside in California and how commutation went between the two studios.
He doesn’t reveal anything new on how Jasmine’s design came together, he got his inspiration from his sister and Linda Larkin but I really enjoyed learning what scenes he did on Beauty and the Beast.
What if… Jafar teams up with Dr. Facilier the new Disney villian from the Princess and the Frog that I intend to see in the next two weeks atleast once.
I love Transformers, the generation 1 cartoon series have this retro feel over it plus I use to have a nice TF toy collection that I’ve fond memories of play with. The connection is that both characters have Frank Welker as their voice.
Not the best redition but song isn’t sang by that many people I felt it was worth posting.
Check out LiveJournal memberrosegoddess84 Jasmine mood theme at her grapic community icon_grotto for some funny moody icons Jassy has had through out the films and TV series. Examples of the moods that stood out for me:
A year of 5 ago I frequently bought Disney Princess Magazines for their cute covers, posters and backs that at least once a year featured the Arabian desert rose. At some point the magazines focused more on the big 4, Aurora, Cinderella, Ariel and Belle ignoring Jasmine altogether. The magazines have been a great source for me to create some beautiful wallpapers, see for yourself the Wallpaper Gallery page.
But I was never able to use my favorite picture the scan has been sitting on my computer for years and I’ve looked at it hundreds of times thinking and honor the majesty of the artwork. Tonight I saw this really nice wallpaper using artwork from another issue inspiring me to take another shot at it.
Click on the thumbnail for full size then click right on the picture choose “set as background” or something similar.
Instrumental versions of the Aladdin sequel Return of Jafar are uploaded to Youtube. The sound quality is nothing to write home about, there’s allot of background noise distraction and the music seems to fall away now and then. You beter check a normal quality version if you’re looking for music to record your singing.
