Heather points to DVDtalk.com’s Paul Mavis review of Disney Princess Enchanted Follow Your Dreams. The overall thought is that Enchanted Tales is pure meant to bring in more money for Disney in the Disney Princess line and not, like the feature films, works of art. No surprising of course.
Nevertheless Paul Mavis finds the stories appealing and entertaining and the songs quite appealing.
Ultimate Disney in the person of David Block shares his view on Follow Your Dreams first volume summarizing the stories and prefers Jasmine’s story above Aurora’s because Jassy has gotten much more screen time then Aurora in movies and series. He also confirms it’s Lea Salonga returning as singing voice for the first time since the feature film and that Linda Larkin is credited with the surname Vasquez implying she got married.

The October 2007 issue of Princess, the magazine about your favorite Disney girls, has Jasmine on as the main princess decorating the cover. The last time I saw something Jasmine-related was in the July issue. It’s the first time Jasmine shines as the leading lady this year.
The September issue with Belle in and ugly on cover has lovely center poster shows Belle and Beast on a swing. An Ariel coloring page and an amusing story, Snow White tells about a dog she meet and there’s a find the difference Mulan activity. Advertisements include one the next Princess special about Aurora doing ballet, honoring her roots I guess but she looks silly nonetheless.
September 21 marks the release of the October issue. Expect details about the content of this issue in a month.
Jasmine wears a pimped version of her regular outfit on the back cover her facial features aren’t 100% accurate but I like the outfit. :thumb:

September 4, just over one week from today, marks an important date in the fandom. It is the return of our favorite characters in animated form for the first time since we left Agrabah in Aladdin and the King of Thieves eleven years ago.
And while the return isn’t as grand as I hoped Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams sparks hope that the creators improve in future stories starring Jasmine and friends. Seeing the shape Disney’s been in the last decade that hope might be false but it’s hope nonetheless.
Disney’s official website is just updated with a storybook with an excerpt of Jasmine’s story.
As we learned from previews and sneak peeks, Jasmine is unhappy with her current life all she does is cutting ribbons, selling camels in the marketplace, posing in ugly dresses. She asks her father, the Sultan, for more important duties. She suggests she can assist tutoring the children in the Royal Academy.
SPOILER WARNING
Upon entering the classroom she was faced with the worst monsters she ever faced on Aladdin’s side. The kids even scared Rajah up a tree. The next morning Hakeem the stable boy {Aladdin’s bastard son complete with fez, did he do it with Sadira after all
} calls the princess for help in finding Sahara, Sultan’s prized horse.
And that’s where it ends. My guess is that, based on previews, Jasmine finds the horse and rides it back home. No TV series monsters, evil doings or thieves seem to return. Just some palaces servants, the royal painter, the woman looking like Al’s death mom and the boy who could be Aladdin’s son and perhaps a few function as supporting cast. I’m afraid Aladdin and Genie won’t be appearing in Follow Your Dreams.

Livejournal members of Agrabah and d_princess react on the latest Disney Princess Enchanted Tales DVD preview that went live earlier this month. The general opinion is that of horror of the butchering of both princesses. What didn’t come as a surprise, next to the actual drawings the production crew didn’t stay true to the feature films the girls came from? I weighted the pro’s and con’s on Jasmine’s coming feature in my last Enchanted Tales post. You’ll find a gallery showcasing the best and worst of the DP Jasmine as well.

Yeah, I know the Genie’s powers transcend all time and space, but it’s a photo in a frame. They didn’t have that back then. She would’ve thought Aladdin’s soul was stuck there. Creepy.
Good point but a photo of Aladdin had appeared in Return of Jafar and at least one episode before.
and again princeali_m_fan makes a good point this time in agrabah
I know, right? That’s what I’m wondering. “I need something to do! D:” THERE’S MONSTERS TO FIGHT AND HOS TO KEEP AWAY FROM YOUR FIANCEE EVERYDAY, HON
Shows how little these people know of Jassy.

Good God some one shot me in the head after watching that garbage!!!! I can see why John Lasseter shut down Toon Disney
I still think that if given a chance, and input from experts on the matter. Like Andreas Deja or Glen Keane since both have great knowledge of Disney movie history. Plus both worked on Aladdin the stories could’ve be improved… allot. Surely Linda has good understandings of Jasmine’s character; she’s been playing her almost two decades. That’s why it’s a shame voice actors don’t have input until after the story is penned.
princeali_m_fan points out in d_princess
Jasmine afraid of snakes…she’s BEEN a snake. WTF XD
Oh yes I forget that, maybe the experience was such traumatic that she got an afraid of the creatures ever since.
It will be ball September 4.

A new Disney Princess video game is due for a November release on PC, Wii and PS2. Summary from IGN:
In Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey, girls play as their own customized heroine, taking part in a fantastic adventure and helping the Disney Princesses restore order in their kingdoms. Girls exercise their creativity by choosing their character’s name as well as customizing her look – selecting hair color, skin tone, dresses and more. As they meet and interact with their favorite Disney Princesses, girls discover that each Disney Princess has a unique story and magical world. These stories inspire players as they ascertain the attributes of being a true princess — courage, friendship, trust and discovery. The game’s two-player mode allows girls and their moms or friends to work together to fix the princess worlds.
Insidegamer has multiple screenshots from everyone except Princess Aurora.
Personally I’m a little disappointed about the graphics. It’s been several years since Kingdom Hearts 2 so I expected better visuals but the characters still have sharp edges. Ariel is to skinny see Belle and look like zombies with that empty look in thier eyes like Jasmine.
Trailer:
Hopefully it won’t be too long before Disney orders a Princess game for the PlayStation 3. Judging by the demo’s that I’ve seen the graphics engine of this nextgen console is powerful enough to lift future Princess games to the next visual level. Playability is of course another story because frankly the premise sounds in the line of Princess games from the past only interesting for young girls and not for older fans like you and me.

New Jasmine footage from Disney’s Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams on it’s Disney.com site. Hit the yellow ‘click here for a sneak preview’ banner. We see her asking daddy for a job, when did she had time for for a job? Doesn’t she need to stand with Aladdin kicking Mozenrath’s butt? The Sultan gives her a job as assistent royal tutor. While the role of tutor/care taker fits Jasmine it’s obivous she’s to young to handle a class full of brats because in the next scene we see Jasmine losing controle of the mob ending up in a palm tree together with Rajah. It’s funny seeing a furios tiger afraid for a bunch of kids it was the only part the made me laugh and think this story might not be that bad.
Let’s weight the good and bad.
Good
- New Jasmine animation set in Agrabah since King of Thieves
- Orginal voice cast returns probably including Lea Salonga, I like how Linda says Hello I’m Princess Jasmine, reminds me of the interview with her on the SE DVD.
- Color scheme and backgrounds look close to feature quality
- Some frames Jasmine resembles her theaterical version closely (see bath scene)
Bad
- Out of character behavior and animation, see song and most other scenes
- Corny song could be better
- No sign of either Aladdin or Genie but that woman bathing Jasmine looks an awful lot like Aladdin’s long death mom.
- No villain ass kicking instead typical Disney Princess stories that might or might not work
4 good points against 4 bad points seems like this story isn’t going to be so terrible yet. September 4 is just a few short months away then we’ll know for sure if was a good idea to cancel these Princess DVD series. At least according to some sources.

LU, national leader in sweet cookie products for babies and children introduced Disney Princess biscuits. The cookies carry the image of the princesses. They look cute and on package are cards for a Princess memory game kids can collect. As you see the package and website use standard princess stock art.
I remember eating their products in my childhood, cookies like ’schooliertje’ and ‘prince’ tasted great.

Through an MSN search I landed at GBPosters.com, a poster retailer. Their Disney Princess section has two posters of the girls in their new gold outfits. A group poster and a close-up version. Aurora, Cinderella and Belle look pretty in gold but the others, Ariel, Snow White and Jasmine don’t look that fine in gold. Notice that the dresses are based on the girls standard princess outfits.

I’ve edited the scan in Paint Shop Pro 10 by removing all the color making it a true coloring page.
As with all coloring pages at Streetrat these are high quality pictures To print them click the thumbnail then use the brower’s printer function to print it. Normally that means clicking right and selecting “print picture”

It’s been a while but the June number of “Princess” finally has Jasmine on the cover again. The last time I saw her on the cover was in 2006 and while she isn’t full glory at least it is something.
The star of this issue is Ariel, Cinderella will be on the cover next month. Since its Ariel month she has a comic story and a really nice center poster showcasing the little mermaid, in a large pink dress, and her animal friends, Flounder and Sebastian. Further Mulan is mentioned in a coloring game. Aurora has nice artwork in how to make a flower pin, Snow White is in a comic and finally a Cinderella game.
Besides on the cover, Jasmine got a nice coloring page, the story “Real of Fake” and 2 games. I’m making wallpaper from the cover that I’ll upload tomorrow. The coloring page shows Jasmine examining her new dress in a mirror. The dress in the only thing there’s to color on the page. I’ve made a ‘real’ coloring page from it that I’ll share later this week. That same coloring page made great wallpaper that’s still in development and will be ready in a few days.

Disney.com updated it’s Enchanted Tales site at http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/animatedfilms/disneyprincessenchantedtales/
They added princess specific downloads for Aurora and Jasmine including greeting card maker and 3 wallpapers each.

This is the second page of coloring pages showcasing the lovely princess of Agrabah. With her pet tiger Rajah. With a lowercase “h” people!
As with all coloring pages at Streetrat these are high quality pictures To print them click the thumbnail then use the brower’s printer function to print it. Normally that means clicking right and selecting “print picture”. You see, the bigger the picture is the better quality you get when fit to page is selected. That’s why old coloring pages from the Aladdin Activity Center look so bad blown up. They’re to small.
Like what you see? More coloring pages of Princess Jasmine are just one mouse click away.
