I love Transformers, the generation 1 cartoon series have this retro feel over it plus I use to have a nice TF toy collection that I’ve fond memories of play with. The connection is that both characters have Frank Welker as their voice.

IGN: Frank Welker Q&A

September 16th, 2009

IGN had a question and answer session with the great Frank Welker for the 25th anniversary of the generation 1 Transformers series where he did the voice of Megatron and a bunch of other transformers. We Aladdin fans know him as the voice of Abu and Mozenrath’s eel Xerxes.

A few weeks ago I found a omnibus filled with various Disney stories including a story called “My Best Friend is Jasmine” the title didn’t ring a bell at first but the little girl who is Jasmine’s new friend looked familiar. So after coming home I looked around and found the story was also available separate.
I wasn’t interested in the other stories and to spend 18 EURO on one story is kind of expensive so I decided to order it online. Now, three weeks later, it finally was delivered.

Jenna meets Abu after being taken care by Jasmine in the book My Best Friend is Jasmine

My Best Friend is Jasmine is a Disney Princess story by Lisa Ann Marsoli with illustrations from the Disney Storybook Artists published in 2006 by Random House New York.
Jenna is a young street urchin taking care of her little brother and Sister Rafi and Salima. Despite for a meal Jenna stole some apples hanging over a palace wall. As she plucked the apples a parrot landed near her on a branch. Jenna leaned over to pet it losing her balance and ending up on Rajah’s soft back. There she meets Princess Jasmine and her tiger pet. The princess invites the girl and her siblings to stay at the palace for a while. Finally Jenna, Rafi and Salima have a real best friend.

The story is nice and heartwarming for a first read but the simplicity of it makes My Best Friend is Jasmine a onetime read. The illustrations are cute with splendid colors and Jasmine and friends look wonderful on model.
The wallpaper is made for screen resolutions of 1024 by 800 pixels.
