Jasmine’s new look from Disney Princess Magazine

As you might have heard Disney’s marketing department redid the look of their Disney Princess girls. From what I understand it make them more appealing to modern little girls and to better intergrate Rapunzel into the group. Until now I hadn’t seen a good quality drawing of Jas to decide myself if her new design is an improvement or not. The LiveJournal Community d_princess has scans from the march issue of the Disney Princess Magazine and after looking at them a few times I can say Jas looks more closely to her movie version. Jasmine daydreams of her prince Coloring Page

While I was going through my stuff I found a couple of cliparts that I thought would made a cute coloring page. Checking my to do folder on the computer it turned out I was halfway already making a coloring page of them. Since it’s been forever since I posted a coloring page, I stopped buying Disney Princess coloring books long ago because either they didn’t have Jas in it or it’s the same old artwork recycled.

Al & Jas taking Carpet for a ride wallpaper

Back in ’07 made a cute Al/Jas wallpaper from an image from a DPM dating back to 2005Screen resolution was then common at 1024 by 768 pixels. And while that post is still very popular I imagine that the screens and resolutions got bigger and higher in four years. Taking a look at my site stats it just 20 % still has 1024 but 15% of Streetrat’s visitors have 1280 X 800 and 1366 X 768. Here’s a remake for 1280 X 800 and 1366 x 768 screens. I hope to remake a couple more this summer.

Smile: Disney Princess Jasmine Wallpaper

A year of 5 ago I frequently bought Disney Princess Magazines for their cute covers, posters and backs that at least once a year featured the Arabian desert rose. At some point the magazines focused more on the big 4, Aurora, Cinderella, Ariel and Belle ignoring Jasmine altogether. The magazines have been a great source for me to create some beautiful wallpapers, see for yourself the Wallpaper Gallery page.
But I was never able to use my favorite picture the scan has been sitting on my computer for years and I’ve looked at it hundreds of times thinking and honor the majesty of the artwork. Tonight I saw this really nice wallpaper using artwork from another issue inspiring me to take another shot at it.
