DjinniGurl started a contest to fandub the entire movie. I prefer the orginal English and Dutch voices but it’s an facinating concept to keep an eye on.

Tipped by Jafaria from Aladdin Central Messageboard I enjoyed watching an Aladdin Music Video or AMV titled Love Potion Nr. 9. The more because there aren’t that many made these days.
Instrumental versions of the Aladdin sequel Return of Jafar are uploaded to Youtube. The sound quality is nothing to write home about, there’s allot of background noise distraction and the music seems to fall away now and then. You beter check a normal quality version if you’re looking for music to record your singing.
Here’s a reminder that the best video game based on Disney’s Aladdin came from Virgin on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. Who can’t resist tapping along with Prince Ali (Agrabah Market level), One Jump Ahead (Agrabah Rooftops level) Arabian Nights (Sultan’s Dungon level) A Whole New World (ending and menu) and Friend Like Me is, naturellym played during the Inside the Lamp level. Actually I prefer the SNES version of A Whole New World over the Genesis one mostly because Capcom shows the magic carpet ride while Virgin only has Aladdin kissing Jasmine which was animated very smoothly just like the rest of the game.
For those wondering, there are ways to download music from Youtube. I used Free YouTube to MP3 Converter to get some instrumentals from my Youtube favorite list.
As you might know in an earlier script the peddler would reveal himself to be genie. A demo of Arabian Nights Reprise ended up on Music Behind the Magic, a four cd box with music and songs from The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. This set included Proud of Your Boy and various other songs that didn’t make it to final film like Humiliate the Boy and Count on Me all three where on the special edition DVD. A missed opportunity was to include this song with storyboards.
The creators of Aladdin and the King of Thieves, the third and last Aladdin film in where Aladdin meets his long last father Cassim and finally marries Jasmine, liked the song so much they used at the end of the film. This and the marriage scene made me often feel a bit down when I thought that there would be no more Aladdin after this. Al and co made a few cameo appearances and Jasmine got her own little film but it’s not the same.
Trident did a few tributes to the badguys and girls from the Aladdinverse.
Set under Billy Joel’s You May Be Right, great artist by the way, clips from Chaos from the tribute to this crazy all-power cat.
The hilarious Looney Tunes tribute Abis Mal, Aladdin most annoying and funny opponent with his turban obsession.
The to me unknown rockband Trooper hails most of Agrabah’s Enemies using screens capped by myself I have/had stored online somewhere for years.
Check out Pale, a music video in where Princess Jasmine is recruited by the Galifeme warrior women.
Aladdin, in parts, can now be watched in HD on Youtube. But I think it’s DVD quality, still much better then most clips on the video site but not HD. I mean where would someone get the source from, it’s still years before we see the movie on Blu-Ray.
Check out these excellent but creepy and somewhat troublesome mv. Superb editing.
1Artistman uploaded test animation of Jasmine singing a few lines during the magic carpet ride sequence.
That person did a marbablous job at re-creating such a legendary piece of animation history. Jasmine is on model, her expressions match exactly the animation is fluid.
I don’t believe I have blogged this tribute before.
TheHoodedMenace made a nice Aladdin Music Video in where it’s suggested Aladdin was unfaithful to Jasmine during the series. Set under a song with the same name by Stephanie McIntosh.
Sadira/Aladdin pairing music videos aren’t common, people don’t always know she’s the teenage streetwise witch from the TV show who had the hots for Aladdin for a while to end up friends with the gang.

A rare version of Aladdin’s theme song surfaced the other day in the form of the accompanied song in an anime music video. One theory on Ultimate Disney is that it’s from Disney Dreams. The male voice does sound like Peter Pan to me. He sounds simlar to the Peter Pan I heard on park recordings like parades and such.
“Disney Dreams, an original stage show performed on the Disney Cruise Line. The show involves a young girl named Anne Marie who dreams of flying and meeting Princesses and kings. She wishes on a star and when she falls asleep, the Blue Fairy comes and grants her wish, but she has to find the strength inside to fly before the clock strikes 12. Anyway, Peter Pan is her guide throughout the show as they travel through different Disney stories to make her wish come true. “
While someone at YouTube thinks it could be from Aladdin (jr), the high school production package Disney made a couple of years ago and is since then preformed on schools all over the USA. In this case it could be a demo recording but by who and when is unknown. It’s supported by the fact that both voices sound childish but I wonder why Disney would orded a demo recording.
Don’t you just love that parrot?!
